At New Mexico's Empire Zinc mine, male Mexican-American workers go on strike against unsafe working conditions and racial discrimination in wages. However, the male strikers refuse to listen to the complaints of their wives about household work and conditions in the company-owned homes, insisting that the conditions at the mine must take precedence. But when an injunction stops the men from protesting, the gender roles are reversed and women run the picket lines while the men stay at home and are forced to face the reality of the work their wives do on a daily basis. $5 suggested donation
